Calgary Contests and Awards

Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP sponsors the Public Speaking Competition. The winners receive a Public Speaking Competition trophy.

Wise Walden Barkauskas sponsors the Children's Poster Contest. The Poster Contest winners get cash prizes as follows:

1st place - $50 to student and $50 to their school
2nd place - $25 to student
3rd place - $10 to student

Many volunteers from the legal community support the High School Mock Trial Competition. The Canadian Bar Association Alberta also presents winning students with gold, silver, or bronze medallions. The High School Mock Trial winning school receives a trophy to keep at the school for the year with a plaque with their school name and year won.
