Law Day – LETHBRIDGE COURTHOUSE – APRIL 17, 2010 Check out the schedule of events for Law Day Law Day is a time for the public to learn about the law, the legal profession and some of the legal institutions that form the cornerstones of our Canadian democracy. Organized by the Canadian Bar Association, this year’s Law Day theme is Access to Justice. The CBA – through Law Day – offers the public an opportunity to learn about the law and the legal system. Law Day activities in most areas focus on elementary through high school students. Law Day provides an opportunity for Albertans to learn about their legal system and the role the law plays in their country. In the past the event has been very successful in all the centers participating with an enthusiastic audience taking part in these activities. Law Day – Law Week in many jurisdictions - is marked by projects and activities taking place across the country. Activities include lectures on the law, mock trials, courthouse tours, open citizenship courts, booths and exhibits, etc.
